Juliet Dobson (She/Her)

Juliet is a highly accomplished employment law expert with a wealth of experience on all areas of employment law.  She has navigated complex restructurings, disciplinary processes and  performance management, and represented many clients at mediation.  She has also appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court. Juliet provides pragmatic advice and solutions for employers and employees across both the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining Black Door Law, Juliet has worked in corporate law firms, a government department and, most recently, led the Employment Law and Employment Relations team at Victoria University of Wellington. She is also a School Trustee and Foundation Trustee for the City Gallery Wellington.

Juliet is a passionate advocate for her clients and is dedicated to delivering excellent and timely advice and results. Outside of the firm, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking, playing tennis and golf, and is passionate about food and travel
